Requirement: You must have a Fairouzah-born parent or grandparent to qualify for the Scholarship. Either you, your Parent(s) or one grandparent must have been born in Fairouzah to qualify. The FAA board reserves the right to confirm all information provided.

Example: (1) Paul Gazi, Father, May 1968, (2) Amal Durgalli Gazi, grandmother, winter 1948

Deadline to inform us of your school choice is May 1, 2026.

Last Graduation Day does not need to be accurate

Write an essay no longer than 3 pages (double spaced, 12-point font) about one of the prompts below. Please indicate which prompt you chose.

(a) Describe one significant experience or event that changed your life, and the lessons you have learned from that experience.


(b) What aspect of your Syrian heritage are you most proud of, and how has it influenced your values, ambitions, or relationships?


(c) What is your chosen field of study?  Why did you choose that field of study, and what are your short and long term goals in that field? 

I have submitted between one (1) and three (3) letters of recommendation (professional, academic, or personal).  The sources are not my relatives or significant other. The letters will come from the person making the recommendation and directly sent to scholarship@faanonprofit.com.


Letters of recommendation must be received by March 15, 2026.

I have requested my official transcripts from my school(s) to be sent to scholarship@faanonprofit.com. Unofficial transcripts will be rejected.

If my school does not offer electronic transmission of OFFICIAL transcripts, I will have them mail it to:

Transcripts, whether emailed or sent by U.S. mail, must be received by March 15, 2026.

By marking this box, you acknowledge and accept that this scholarship cannot be applied to junior/community colleges and that a decision to attend a junior/community college after an application is submitted removes you from consideration. Scholarship winners who decide to go to a junior/community college forfeit their scholarship award.
